运用纳米技术能生产许多改性建材。目前,纳米科学在建材领域中的应用主要表现在以下几个方面。陶瓷传统陶瓷产品质地坚硬,强度高,化学稳定性好,抗腐蚀性强,但性脆易破碎。如果在生产陶瓷过程中,应用纳米技术进行热压微波烧结或增加外加剂,可使陶瓷既坚硬无比又不易摔碎。德国已制成纳米陶瓷,它的抗断裂性能比常规陶瓷可提高25%。因纳米微粒的表面积大,易于进行反应性烧结,利用这一特性还可轻而易举地在陶瓷上绘画。
