我矿255上风道,是1989年5月掘完的,风道全长820m,断面10.4m~2,采用拱形棚支护。当时运输道,切眼还未开始施工。全负压通风系统没有形成,故将已掘完的255上风道用密闭隔绝。1990年11月上旬,下运输道开切跟已到位,需与风道贯通,由于255上风道密闭已17个月之久,启封探测其瓦斯浓度高达37%,氧含量最低为3%。沼气浓度达到5%~16%,氧含量高于12%时,遇火会引起爆炸。故在瓦斯排放前,运用事故树分析的方法,采取了相应的有效对策,避免了在瓦斯排放过程中重大事故的发生。
