I. INTRODUCTION The plasma display panel (PDP) is a thin and light display device that uses a discharge lamp to display images and information. Plasma displays that use neon (Ne) gas to emit light are widely used in office automation equipment such as desktop personal computers because of their good visibility compared to other flat panel displays.
