接触焊接时施加于电極間的压力是点焊和滾焊規范中的主要参数之一。压力的大小与焊接材料的种类及其厚度有关。目前工厂使用的焊机大多数是气压傳动或机械傳动的。气压傳动的焊机,由于气缸的工作行程不均匀、滑塊在导轨內有时卡住、焊机机臂弯曲等原因,常常不能从压力表上讀出电极間压力的真实数值。测量电极間压力的仪表种类很多,有彈簧式测力計,钢球和标准样板式測力計等。但是这几种测力計,测量結果都不够精确,尤其是在急剧加压和頻繁工作的条件
