人类已经告别短寿时代迈入长寿时代,正处于以人口老龄化为表征的年轻社会向老龄社会的全面深刻转型期。老年人问题虽然亘古存在,但进入老龄社会后,该问题已经超越私人领域,成为公共领域的重大问题。由此需要首先从理论上转变观念,创新思维,重新考量,并建构相应的理论和话语体系。人类尚未建立起关于老年人问题或人类老年期问题的完善理论,西方老年学中关于老年人问题的理论多元而缺乏一体性,中国老年学中关于老年人问题的理论研究严重滞后。建构人类老年期理论的关键是把握老龄社会新时代的历史要求,难点在于问题本身的复杂性,同时,要立足于为人类老年期新生活树立引领,要面向理想老龄社会之建构。理想人生理论是建构人类老年期理论的前提,理想老年期假定是建构人类老年期理论的关键,老年期生活的核心是赋予生命以意义和价值。

Humans have not yet established a sound theory on the issue of the elderly or on the issue of the human being’s aging. The theories on the problem of the elderly in the western gerontology are not comprehensively integrated, and the theoretical research on the problem of the elderly in China’s gerontology lags behind seriously. The key to constructing the theory of human aging is to grasp the historical requirements of the new era of the aging society. The difficulty lies in the complexity of the problem itself. At the same time, we must base ourselves on establishing a new life for the elderly in the human being and facing the construction of an ideal aging society. Ideal life theory is the premise of constructing human theory of old age. The ideal assumption of old age is the key to constructing human theory of old age. The core of life in old age is to give meaning and value to life.
