广州国际会议展览中心(以下简称会展中心)是广州市政府为了扩展蓬勃发展的会展业,打造21世纪区域中心城市而投资兴建的一项超大型公共建设项目。2000年市政府采用国际招标方式征集方案,日本佐滕综合计画株式会社的方案最终被确定为中标实施方案,合作设计单位为华南理工大学建筑设计研究院。2001年6月动工兴建,2002年底竣工,2003年投入使用。
Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center (hereinafter referred to as the Convention and Exhibition Center) is the Guangzhou municipal government in order to expand the flourishing exhibition industry, building a regional city in the 21st century and investment in the construction of a large-scale public construction projects. In 2000, the municipal government adopted the international solicitation bidding scheme. The program of Zotei Integrated Planning Co., Ltd. in Japan was finally determined as the successful implementation plan. The cooperative design institute was the Architectural Design and Research Institute of South China University of Technology. Construction started in June 2001, completed by the end of 2002, put into use in 2003.
