The meaning of the word “communication” in English and the word “biography” in ancient Chinese embodies the concept of communication in modern western and ancient China. The same meaning of the two words reflects that two different universals in different ages all recognize two universal laws of information transmission: the close relationship between “transmitting information” and “transmitting matter” and “transmitting” information to “share” information. The difference between the meanings of the two terms reflects the respective characteristics of the Western and Chinese perspectives on communication: the Western viewpoints originated in the modern industrial society have a “spatial tendency” and attach importance to “horizontal communication”; the Chinese traditional viewpoints originated in the oriental agricultural society have “ Time-oriented ”nature, emphasis on“ vertical transmission. ”
