向日葵花期遭受菌核病侵害后对向日葵的产量和质量影响很大。其损失大小决定于花盘的受害程度。发病最重的产量比无病的下降45%以上,百粒重降低31.0%,容重和种仁重也都下降而皮壳率却增加32.37%,籽仁的蛋白质含量和含油量也分别下降17.14%和2.05%。受病花盘的种子发芽势弱,发芽率低,出苗率也相应降低,且种子内外带菌并都混有菌核。重槎、早播、地势低洼以及感病品种都可能使发病加重。
