Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of ornidazole with metronidazole trichomonas vaginitis. Methods Totally 74 patients with Trichomonas vaginitis treated in Yiyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2014 to February 2015 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 37 cases in each group. The control group was treated with metronidazole, the observation group was given ornidazole treatment. The clinical efficacy, clinical symptoms (including purulent or foamy vaginal discharge, frequent urination, genital itching, vaginal congestion), local cytokines [including interleukin 2 (IL-2), interleukin 8 (IL-8) , Interleukin 13 (IL-13)] levels and adverse reactions. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with significant difference (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in purulent or foamy leucorrhea, urinary frequency, dysuria, vulvar pruritus and vaginal hyperemia between the two groups before treatment (P> 0.05). After treatment, the purulent or foamy leucorrhea, urinary frequency, urine Pain, genital itching, vaginal congestion symptoms less than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The levels of IL-2, IL-8 and IL-13 in the two groups before treatment were no significant difference (P> 0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-8 and IL-13 In the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Two groups of patients with adverse reactions, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). However, the observation group adverse reactions less than the control group. Conclusion Ornidazole treatment of trichomonas vaginitis better than metronidazole, high safety, and fewer adverse reactions.
