花茶,是将茶叶窨以香花而制成的再加工茶类,在国内有着传统的销售市场。至于花茶起源何时?陈椽教授在《茶业通史》书中认为,“茶引花香增益味道,自古有之,是在1000多年前的宋初贡茶,即加龙脑香料制造”;朱自振在《中国茶业历史资料选辑》一书的序言中也说,花茶“产生可能源于北宋片茶中掺龙脑等香料的启发”。持这种看法的还有《福建茉莉花茶》一书及一些有关在茶史方面的论文。然而,只要我们对茶叶发展的历史进行直观,就会得出与此不同的看法,研究花茶起源不能以宋初为上限,必须考察花茶何以形成、发展的整个过程,即应追溯到三国时期。
