This paper tries to analyze the necessity of the participatory design strategy of eco-village space. Based on Lefebvre’s theory of space production and the dialectical utopia established by David Harvey, this paper explains the relationship between the destruction of ecological environment and the expansion of production and the development of globalization. In the process, as Foucault puts it, “’the fascists that dominate our brains’ are far more insidious than anything built outside.” The author analyzes the patterns of economic development, and explains in an architect’s perspective how to pass Participatory design approach to create a suitable living and living space, which will gradually promote the improvement of the city’s environment.
