  With the purpose of guaranteeing safe use of spirotetramat and preventing its potential health threats to consumers, in this paper QuEChERS extraction method coupled with LC/QQQ MS (liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry) was applied to determine the residual spirotetramats metabolites in different tissues of amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor) as well as in soil.The results indicated that the spirotetramat was degraded into different types of metabolites, which were located in different tissues of amaranth or in soil.B-keto, B-glu,and B-enol were three most representive degradation products in the leaf of amaranth;B-glu and B-enol were two major degradation products found in the stem of amaranth.However, only B-enol was detected in the root and B-keto and B-mono were two products detected in the soil in which the amaranth grew.This investigation was of great significance to the safe use of spirotetramat in fields.
