Background: MiRNAs (mircroRNAs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs and play an important role in regulating a wide range of biological process, such as stem cell maintenance, development and metabolism.By modulating these key cellular processes, miRNAs can simultaneouslyregulate both oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. With the development of high-throughput microarray chip technology, abundant expression data in many cancers of miRNA and gene have been obtained. And numerous studies indicate thatmiRNAs are involved in tumorigenesis and development of many cancers, act as either oncogenes or tumor suppressors, and possess the tumor marker potential for diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic exploration. So, to explore carcinogenic mechanism, it is critical to comprehensively analyze miRNAs and genes network for identifying miRNA signatures associated with cancer.
