An investigation was conducted to evaluate the evolution of twin density and to reveal the interactions between dislocations and twin boundaries(TBs)in a severely deformed nanocrystalline(nc)Ni-Fe alloy.Results indicate that there is a significant grain size effect on the competition between deformation twinning and de-twinning.Detailed analysis of dislocation-TB interactions in grains with different dislocation densities shows that dislocation density is a factor that affects the dislocation-TB interactions.
