Natural lowland rainforest in Jambi Province at Indonesia has been cleared in large area and transformed into oil-palm plantations.In particular, the massive transformation of lowland rainforest into oil-palm plantations has been identified as a major threat for biodiversity and a potential driver of climate change.Production of oil palm are influenced by several environmental condition such as rainfall, soil, climate, and pathogen outbreak.Pathogen outbreak such as anthracnose and leaf blight cause rotting on leaves of seedling oil palm which in the end will kill the plant.Prevention on pathogenic fungi on oil palm can be done by using cellulolytic and chitinolytic bacteria which can produce hydrolytic enzymes as biology control.
