Gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) of a few nanometers in diameter exhibit size-dependent optical and electronic properties that are of interest for optoelectronic applications utilizing the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)-induced electric field, such as molecular detection or analysis with surface enhanced Raman scattering or fluorescence enhancement.For the application of colloidally synthesized Au NPs to solid devices, it is necessary to immobilize them as a nanoparticle film without large aggregation.
