Recently, the chaotic particle swarm optimization (CPSO) which uses chaotic sequences rather than random numbers in the PSO algorithm is developed.This study aims to investigate the influence of chaotic behavior of different chaotic maps on numerical performance of the chaos-enhanced accelerated PSO (CAPSO), from a new perspective of both the probability distribution property and search speed of chaotic sequences.
