Objective: To detect the mRNA expression levels of DNMT1,DNMT3a, DNMT3b, MBD2, and MBD4 and to evaluate their prognostic values in patients with gastrointestinal DLBCL(PGI-DLBCL).Methods: A total of 40 PGI-DLBCL patients and 30 age-and sex-matched healthy donors were enrolled in this study.Tissue samples were pulverized under liquid nitrogen with a pestle and mortar.Approximately 20 to 30 mg of tissue was used for RNA extraction.The expression levels of DNMT1, DNMT3a,DNMT3b, MBD2 and MBD4 mRNA were detected using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR).The PGI-DLBCL patients were divided into high-expression and low-expression groups according to the results, such as the high-DNMT1 and low-DNMT1 groups, to evaluate the prognostic values using Kaplan-Meier analysis.
