Aim: To investigate the effect of Shuangshenningxin (SSNX) on mitochondrial functional defects and metabolic derangement in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (MI/R) injury. Methods: Rats were treated with trimetazidine (10 mg·kg-Ld-1, ig), SSNX (22.5, 45, and 90 mg·kg-1·d-1, ig) or saline for 5 d.MI/R was induced by ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery for 40 min and releasing to promote reperfusion for 120 min on the last day of administration. Then, the activities of serum LDH and CK-MB were measured.
