Background Pistachio is a nutrient-dense snack with low glycemic index.Interventional studies have shown that pistachio can reduce postprandial glycaemia but none of the study was done on pregnant women.We therefore evaluate the effect of pistachios on postprandial glucose insulin levels and GLP-1 in pregnant women with impaired glucose tolerance.
