  The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has been working in coordination with the Govemment of Bangladesh (GOB) since 1974.Hitherto,the organization has completed six country program cycles.At present it is carrying out its seventh country program (7CP) (2006-2010).The goal of 7CP is to improve the reproductive health of the people of Bangladesh.The priority areas include HIV/AIDS addressed in 7CP in order to improve awareness and prevention of RTI/STI/HIV/AIDS among young people and the high-risk groups.This is one of the expected outputs to contribute our joint venture with UNDAE The total of HIV cases reported in Bangladesh are 658 and the rate of mortality percent has been 11.25.
