　　Vibration performances of roller bearings can be greatly affect by various localized defects.Therefore,it is very important to analyze the vibration characteristics of the roller bearings with the localized defects.In this work,a nonlinear dynamic model is developed to formulate the effect of a localized defect on the vibration characteristics of a roller bearing.
