The insect kinins are a class of multifunctional insect neuropeptides present in a diverse variety of insects [1].Diverse processes in insects such as the regulation of hindgut contraction,diuresis,and the release of digestive enzymes are associated with insect kinins and/or analogs [1,2].It has been reported that some insect kinin analogs showed aphicidal and antifeendant activities,and were considered as the candidate of novel eco-friendly insecticide [3].In this study,two series of insect kinin mimetics were designed with the peptidomimetic approach(PA)[4],a method widely used in the discovery of peptide-based pharmaceuticals,by replacing portions of the peptides with natural or unnatural structures to overcome the shortage of natural peptides while retaining activity.
