During the last ten years, a series of investigations were performed on the novel concept, theory and method of moving reaction boundary (MRB), including moving precipitate boundary (MPB) [1], moving neutralization boundary (MNB) [2], moving chelation boundary (MCB) [3], moving supermolecule boundary (MSB) [4] and moving affinity boundary (MAB).The concept of MRB has numerous applications.At first, the concept can systemically explain the mechanism of Hjetens mobilization of pH gradient and pH gradient instability existing in isoelectric focusing (IEF) for about 40 years.
