Fall is common in elderly and subsequent fracture brings serious consequences including hospitalization,dependency as well as survival risk of the elderly.It also costs high in government medical expenditure and raised the alarm.Therefore,an effective measure in fall prevention is needed to safeguard the elders against the risk of falling.Comprehensive health promotion has to work on four major aspects:multi-sectorial approach,community participation,appropriate technology and proven fall prevention strategies.
