In recent years, controlled assembly of nanoparticles or molecules has been attracting much attention because it is an important way to create new matter beyond molecules.Especially, two-dimensional ordered arrays of metal nanoparticles have been a fascinating topic owing to their potential applications in photonic crystal, SERS substrate, sensors, and smart materials.However, to achieve the goal of creating fuctional materials from bottom to up, we need to combine the nanoparticle arrays with other materials by co-assembly.
