A new sensitive and selective method based on dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) coupled with spectrophotometric determination for analysis of mercury in Chuanxiong Rhizoma digestion was proposed.In the proposed procedure EDTA was used as masking agent,dithizone was used as chelating agents,carbon tetrachloride and ethanol as extraction and dispersive solvents respectively.The factors influencing on the extraction efficiency of Hg2+ such as the extraction and dispersive solvent volume,pH of sample solution and spectrophotometric determination conditions were optimized.Accuracy of method was checked by spiked samples and ICP-MS.The detection limits of the method were achieved 22.0 ng L?1.The established method was successfully applied to the determination of trace amounts Hg2+ in Chuanxiong Rhizoma from deferent locations,and found that the Hg content in drug samples has obvious geographical characteristics.
