Hail disaster is one of the common natural disasters in china.With the development of the economy,more attention has been paid to the effect of hail disaster upon car by the insurance industry.According to the theory of disaster system,the paper explored the hail risk assessment of cars at provincial scale in China,based on the Disaster Database collected from provincial newspapers.The result of assessment will provide a basis for thecar insurance industry.The result shows that,Peking,Tianjin,Jiangsu and Guangdong suffer the highest level of hail risk,followed by Shandong,Liaoning,Shanxi and Guizhou,while other provinces have low risk of hail.
