In this paper, the computational morphogenesis using swarm intelligence (SI) for free torm surtace shells 1s shown.Recently, SI is paid to attention as one of the heuristic optimization techniques by a lot of researchers.Especially, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and the artificial bee colony (ABC) in SI have a lot of application examples for the engineering problems.PSO is an approximate optimal solution search procedure using the group behavior of the bird and the fish, etc.ABC is an approximate optimal solution search procedure using the intelligent foraging behavior of honey bee swarm.These procedures are one of the multipoint search methods in heuristic approaches.In the structural morphogenesis problem, these multipoint search algorithms are important as the computational procedure of acquiring a lot of diversified design variables.
