本文报告了一项基于策略培训的英语阅读教学实证研究。该研究通过单组前后测设计的前实验研究方法探究高职院校英语阅读策略培训的可行性和有效性,深圳信息职业技术学院商务英语专业95名一年级学生参与了本研究。问卷、测试、反馈和访谈等资料表明,基于策略培训的阅读教学能够提高学生的阅读速度,但对阅读准确率和阅读策略的掌握情况没有显著影响,绝大多数学生认可本次策略培训。研究发现,高职院校英语阅读策略培训的关键在于教材的选择、兴趣的培养和策略的运用。
This article reports on an empirical study of English reading teaching based on strategy training. This study explored the feasibility and effectiveness of English reading strategy training in higher vocational colleges by means of a pretest and posttest design experiment. 95 freshmen of Business English major in Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology participated in this study. Data from questionnaires, tests, feedbacks and interviews indicated that reading instruction based on strategy training can improve students’ reading speed, but has no significant effect on reading accuracy and reading strategies. Most students approve this strategy training. The study found that the key to English reading strategy training in higher vocational colleges lies in the selection of teaching materials, the cultivation of hobbies and the application of tactics.
