Accumulating evidence suggests that gibberellin have an important effect on root growth ; however, there is currently little information on the roles of gibberellin during adventitious root development.We conducted our study on tobacco plants by exogenous application of GA3 and gibberellin biosynthesis inhibitor PAC as well as altered rates of biosynthesis and catabolism of gibberellin constitutively or in specific tissues by transgenic approach.
