Objective Coronary calcification has been determined to associate with periprocedural myocardial infarction. It remained to be not clear that which subtype of calcification in coronary artery would predict periprocedural myocardial infarction during pereutaneous coronary intervention. Methods Subjects with significant coronary stenosis (> 50%) detected in muitidetector computed tomography angiography and normal baseline cardiac troponin were invited to take part in this study and divided into spot calcification (S),Mild calcification (M),Heavy calcification (H) and no calcification (C) group according to calcification.Periprocedural myocardial infarction (Ml4a) were defined as a 5-time elevation of cardiac troponin within 24 hours after percutaneous coronary intervention.
