Polymeric micelles have recently received great attention as a promising vehicle for drug delivery.Generally, both the water-insoluble polymer and the hydrophobic drug need to be dissolved in a suitable organic solvent while loading water-insoluble anticancer drug into polymeric micelles [1].However,it is very difficult to remove the solvent completely [2].Thus,there is a clear need to improve the drug loading procedure where the use of toxic organic solvents should be avoided. In this study,pH and thermo dual-responsive polyaspartamide derivatives containing pendant azido groups and imidazole rings P(Asp-Az)39-HPA-IMZs and PEGylated P(Asp-Az)39-HPA-IMZs were synthesized via click reaction using azide-functional polyaspartamide derivative P(Asp-Az)39-HPA and were evaluated as drug delivery systems.
