Graphene oxide (GO), a member of the sp2 carbon nanomaterials family, has drawn huge attention in the past a few years, especially its great potential in biological fields, such as biosensors, molecular imaging, drug delivery, and in vivo therapy. As more and more biomedical applications of GO been explored, critical issues as the biosafety and biological effects of GO arise and must be addressed before any further massive applications.
