Currently atypical antipsychotics cause numerous side effects, such as substantial weight gain and QT interval prolongation. The discovery of multireceptor antipsychotics that are chemically different, more effective, and free of side effects remains a challenging goal. The aim of our work is to develop novel antipsychotics that act on dopamine D2 and D3,serotonin 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A receptors with low affinity for the H1 receptors, which can effectively cure positive symptoms, negative symptoms and cognitive impairment without the weight gain side-effect.
