Sub-acute ruminal acidosis (SARA), which is also known as chronic or sub-clinical acidosis, is a comm on health problem in many dairy herds, where high concentrate is largely used to counteract negative energy balance (NEB) during high milk production or forages scarcity and defined as periods of moderately depressed ruminal pH.LPS production and translocation into the bloodstream occurs due to grain based SARA, and the intestines are likely the main site of LPS translocation.
