Effect of galacto-oligosaccharide extracted from three different germplasm of velvet bean (Thachenmalai (white and black-coloured) and Myladumpara (white-coloured) on probiotic strain Lactobacillus spp.was studied.Optimal medium was standardized for the growth of Lactobacillus spp.and the effect on kinetic parameters like aeration,temperature and pH were also studied.The germplasm Thachenmalai (white-coloured) registered higher concentration of all the sugar componentsincluding RFO(Raffinose Family of Oligosaccharides) components
