The study was done in a normal university of northeast China in 2011.Thepaper investigates the practicum experiences of Chinese practicum model with respectto international perspective and it status in the eyes of participants.So the study hadtwo parts;part one was a review and in the second part prospective teachers’practicum experiences has been evaluated.For some of the countries,websites of theiruniversities were surfed to know the practicum experiences offered in their syllabi ofteacher education programmes.The study was delimited to undergraduate pre-serviceteacher education programme.Mixed method research design was used for the study.Seventy two student teachers,45 mentor teachers,and five supervisors were included in the study.Questionnairesand interviews were used as research instruments.Interview was conducted with 10student teachers,five supervisors,and five mentor teachers.The study concluded that the time for practicum is insufficient.The mode ofpracticum should also be changed and practicum should be integrated throughout theprogramme and not only once.The mentors should be trained.There is also lack ofcoordination between the university and practice schools.The student teachers feeldifficulty in managing the class while delivering lesson during practicum.The seconddifficult thing for student teachers was lesson planning.The mentors and schoolfaculty don’t trust on student teachers.The faculty supervisors don’t play their roleeffectively.Evaluation system also needs some consideration.The mentors were not serious while grading students during practicum.The applications of test development,administering,and scoring skills were totally ignored during the practicum.

社会学知识是教师德育能力的基础,因为它是教师理解教育和道德的基础知识。我国教师缺乏社会学知识,导致了他们对学校教育的社会性认识不足,对道德的社会性认识存在偏差,对学生道德发展的认识存在盲点。教师教育应该通过培养教师的以人为本的教育理念,设置教育社会学必修课程和养育教师人文精神来提高教师德育能力。
