A naked-eye colorimetric biosensing platform was established based on one-step synthesis of graphene oxide/Au nanocomposites.With the help of sodium citrate as the reducing agent,gold nanoparticles (GNPs) could grow at the graphene oxide (GO) surface due to the abundant oxygen-containing groups on GO sheets, as shown in Fig.1A.Different kinds of amino acids and other non-biological molecules were added with the nanocomposites.
