Self-oscillating polymer gels driven by Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) chemical reaction[1] are a novel class of functional gels found by Yashida et.al in 1996[2-3].Because of their unique capability of undergoing autonomous rhythmic volume changes without any external altemant stimulation, these self-oscillating polymer gels have a wide range of potential applications, such as distributed actuators systems, controlled drug release, miniature peristaltic pumps etc.[4-7].So far, the theoretical research of BZ gels is still in infancy stage because inside BZ gels undergo a complicated interplay between the volume deformations of a responsive medium and the nonlinear chemical dynamics.
