Influencing factors of preparing hexagonal ZnTiO3 powders

  ZnTiO3 were successfully prepared by solid state reaction using TiO2 and different Zn-contained compounds as raw materials.The as-prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM).Several factors, including temperature, time, ratio of Ti/Zn, pre-heated treatment and Zn sources, which influence the preparation of hexagonal ZnTiO3, were investigated.The results show that high purity hexagonal phase ZnTiO3 could be prepared between 600 and 900℃.Appropriate calcination temperature, time and molar ratio of Ti/Zn=l are favorable for preparing high purity hexagonal phase ZnTiO3.Different Zn sources have different influences on the preparation of hexagonal phase ZnTiO3.Moreover, pre-heated treatment has no obvious beneficial effect on preparing hexagonal phase ZnTiO3.
