Synergistic catalysis is gaining increasing attention due to its many perceived advantages such as improved catalytic activity,wide substrate scope,increased selectivity,and cost efficiency,[1]Recently,we have developed several methodologies involving the synergistic combination of metal catalysts and organocatalysts,[2]This strategy has been utilized in asymmetric transformations with some success by using a chiral catalyst in conjunction with a second achiral catalyst.However,the synergistic use of two distinct chiral metal catalysts is rare[3]despite asymmetric metal catalysis being one of the most powerful tools in organic synthesis.Herein,we describe an enantio-and diastereodivergent synthesis for the α-allylation of unprotected α-hydroxyketones,a procedure greatly desired from an atom economy and synthetic efficiency perspective.
