With the rapid development of network technologies and the increasing popularity of network applications,the number of Web application systems based on B/S structure within the company grows quickly.To ensure the normal and stable operation of Web application systems,effective monitor measures must be deployed,so that system maintainers can master system status timely in order to find and solve problems as soon as possible,and then provide users with high-quality system services,which makes the technologies to monitor Web application systems become the hot research topic of IT maintenance and operation field.Thus,an application layer end-to-end and adaptive monitoring system based on HTTP protocol is designed and implemented.The system provides application layer and end-to-end monitoring by simulating the end users access behavior to Web applications,which truly reflects the user perception.At the same time,the system has the advantages of easy deployment and convenient management,can he rapidly applied to any Web application system based on B/S structure,and also provides the self-adaptive function by adjusting simulated access interval dynamically.The production use of the system achieves obvious results,which involves reducing the monitoring blind area,enhancing the system stability,decreasing the fault complaint rate and improving the user satisfaction.The experiment results have shown that the proposed system is both green and energy-efficient,and provides fast identification of fault and performance problems with lower level of resource consumption.
