Cobalt-rich crust is a potential polymetallic resource, rich in Co, REEs, Pt, Te and so on. Among them, the content of Ce is particularly high and has high economic value. It is of great significance to study the enrichment of its ore-controlling elements. Takahashi et al. (2007) concluded that the enrichment of Ce in cobalt-rich crusts is a kinetic process and the growth rate of cobalt-rich crusts is the key factor. The growth rates of cobalt-rich crusts in the equatorial Indian Ocean and the western North Pacific are 2.48 mm / a and 1.78 mm / a, respectively, although their growth rates are not significantly different
