In this paper,a frequency doubler is designed to produce a local oscillator signal around 220GHz.The whole circuit is constructed on quartz substrate.The circuit design,simulation and optimization of the frequency doubler are carried out by using HFSS and ADS.The simulation performance of the doubler exhibits the multiplication efficiency reaches at least 20%over the 210GHz~230GHz frequency band at an input power of 50mW.A peak output is obtained at around 220GHz,with a corresponding conversion efficiency close to 42%.
