The aim of this research was to study the population of culturable endophytic actinobacteria from rice plants growing in Australia. The endophytic actinobacteria were isolated from different growth stages of the rice plant. The plants were collected from the rice growing area near Yanco.New South Wales. The plants were cleaned from the remaining soil and sectioned into roots, stems, leaf sheaths and leaf blades then subjected to surfaced sterilization protocols [1].The sectioned plants were cut into smaller fragments and put onto four different isolation media. The plates were incubated at two different temperature conditions (27oC and 37oC).One hundred thirty nine isolates were collected from various plant sections.
