OBJECTIVE To investigate the antiarrhythmic mechanism of taurine magnesium coordination compound (TMCC) on sodium current (INa), L-type calcium current (ICa,L) and transient outward potassium current (Ito) in single ventricular cardiomyocytes of rat.METHODS Whole-cell patch clamp was used to record INa, ICa,L, and Ito in single ventricular cardiomyocytes of rat.RESULTS INa and Ito was inhibited by TMCC 100,200 and 400 μmol· L-1 concentration-dependently, while Ica,L was increased by TMCC 400 μmol· L-1 and the steady-state inactivation curve of Ica,L was shifted to right, however, the steady-state activation curve of ICaL remained unchanged.CONCLUSION The antiarrhythmic effects of TMCC may be related to inhibition of INa and Ito.
