Vanadium redox flow battery (VRB), as one type of energy storage systems, has been widely explored based on its long cycle life, high energy efficiency and low cost.1-3 Nation membrane has been used in VRB system due to its high proton conductivity and good chemical stability.However, low proton/vanadium ion selectivity and high cost of Nation membrane limit the practical applications.In this work, a novel acid-base hybrid membrane based on NH2-functionalized graphene oxide with polyethyleneimine (PEI-GO) and sulfonated polyimide (SPI) is prepared and used in VRB system.
