The East Asia dust has significant impacts on the energy balance and climatic feedback of the Earth system, which are the outstanding science issues in understanding climate change at regional and even global scale.The Weather Research and Forecasting model with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) is used to investigate dust direct and indirect effects on surface temperature, cloud and snow cover over East Asia, with a focus on the dust climatic impact.A variety of in-situ measurements and satellite observations have been used to evaluate the simulation results.Generally,WRF-Chem reasonably reproduces not only the column variability but also the vertical profile and size distribution of mineral dust over East Asia.
