As one of the largest family in Angiosperm, Orchidaceae comprise five subfamilies-- Apostasioideae, Cypripedioideae, Epidendroideae, Orchidoideae and Vanilloideae. Dendrobiinae involves important orchid medical and ornamental species within Epidendroideae. Despite oft reconstructions of phylogenetic analyses in orchids, Dendrobiinae has obscure location in the subfamily. Comparative genomics can provide moderate molecular markers for resolving phylogenetic questions.
